Seniors can learn how to protect themselves from crime by following these simple, commonsense suggestions.

The Anderson Police Department, through its Senior Link program, works to identify those senior citizens in our community who may be without family or other social support systems to ensure that their needs are being met. Through weekly phone calls, and/or in-home visits, we attempt to assess the needs of participating seniors.

Assisting Senior Citizens

Such assessments will include social service and home security needs, as well as domestic concerns such as living conditions within the home, groceries, transportation, etc. When such needs are determined to exist, the Anderson Police Department will make the appropriate referrals to outside agencies to assist senior citizens in obtaining the help they need.

Additional Information

If you or someone you know would like to sign up for the Senior Link program, please call 765-648-6712 to schedule an in-home assessment.
